The prestigious IPAF rental + quality mark

Light Hire Ltd, the Exeter based hirer of powered access products for South-West England have recently become the sixth UK-based company to qualify for the IPAF Rental+ quality standard.

The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) Rental+ programme sets a series of minimum quality standards for customer service, safety, staff training, contract terms and machine inspection for powered access hirers and has an annual audit plan in place to ensure those standards are maintained.

The initial audit at Light Hire was carried out by Giles Councell, Audit Programme Manager, from IPAF and the accolade was presented to the company by Tim Whiteman, Managing Director of IPAF Global.

Brian Light, Managing Director of Light Hire said ‘I am delighted that Light Hire has been shown to follow the highest standards and objectives of the powered access rental industry.  We work hard to provide our customers with the best possible level of service and support and the achievement of the Rental+ quality mark is recognition of this.  In addition, as active members of Access Link, the nationwide association of independent professional hirers and suppliers of access equipment, we can ensure that our local customers can benefit from the scheme and standards set’.

Alongside their fleet of hired booms and scissor lifts, Light Hire are well positioned to satisfy training needs for operators, supervisors, managers and inspectors through their IPAF approved facilities in Exeter and Barnstaple
